Lashya, as the name suggest is an aspect of Odissi Dance which is ever graceful, delicate and expresses emotions on a gentle level, first performed and taught by Goddess Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva.
The Pallu features beautiful Odissi dancers enacting a scene of 'Raas' and 'Sringar' from the 'Gita-Govinda'. The body of this silk saree is painted with elaborated hand mudras associated with the classical art of Odissi dance. The saree also features delicate work on the complete border.
