This Saree is a six yards of brilliance vividly illustrating the concept of 'Pada-Padma' (Feet Lotus) with blooming 'Padmas' (lotuses) and 'Pada' (Feet) as its primary motif with other intricate designs covering the whole of pallu, a 'Jala' work which involves a complex process of setting up the design on to the loom even before the weaving starts.
These two motifs, 'Pada' and 'Padma' are considered auspicious among Indian traditions where 'Pada' represents the feet of Goddess Lakshmi and marks her presence.
The body of this Navy blue saree adorns itself with 'Matsya'(fish) motifs that spreads evenly across the whole body crafted using the traditional 'phoda' (pierce) technique.. The complete border is covered with 'Ganga Yamuna Kumbha'(dual color temple) design along with 'Matsya' (fish) motifs of complementing colours.
Handspun and Handwoven out of natural tussar silks, this saree is indeed rooted to our ancient traditions in every way.
